A lightweight cockpit is a fundamental design principle for maximizing the performance, longevity, and adding a true realistic experience to a racing sim motion system.

Less Inertia:

A lighter cockpit has less mass, meaning the motion system (actuators, motors) has less inertia to overcome. This allows it to accelerate and decelerate faster and more precisely.

Sharper Feedback:

Lighter mass enables more immediate and accurate replication of subtle forces like road texture, curb impacts, and tire slip. Heavy cockpits can "dampen" these nuanced cues.

Reduced Lag: 

Less mass means the system can reach its target position faster, minimizing any perceived lag between what's happening in the simulation and what the user feels.

Direct Translation: 

If the cockpit has any flex or independent movement within its structure, the motion system's inputs (simulating G-forces, bumps, vibrations, etc.) won't be accurately transmitted to the user.

A rigid unit ensures that every part of the driver's body (seat, pedals, steering wheel) experiences the movements as intended by the software. This consistency is vital for reacting appropriately in a virtual environment.

90mm Brackets with Locators - Next Gen Achitecture

V-shaped locators on our 90x90mm brackets transform a simple bolted connection into a mechanically interlocked joint. This interlock dramatically increases the connection's resistance to rotation and shear, directly contributing to the overall strength and rigidity required for a motion-ready cockpit to move as a truly solid, single unit without flex or unwanted play.
Most standard cockpits can flex when using 4 independant motion actuators.
  • Traditional brackets are mounted with flat surfaces that rely solely on friction from tightened bolts or screws. Under dynamic loads (like those from a motion system), these can slip, rotate, or loosen over time, introducing flex and weakness.
Our patented framing system connects the cockpit unlike anything else on the market.
  • V-Locators as Keys: The protruded V-shaped locators on Vention 90mm brackets are essentially "keys" that fit precisely into the V-shaped channels (the V-slots) of the Vention extrusions.
The Pro Motion cockpits transfers motion exactly as it’s meant to be felt; every surge, shift, and vibration reproduced with perfect precision for unmatched realism.
  • Our brackets creates a positive mechanical interlock. Once tightened, these locators prevent any rotational movement of the hinge relative to the extrusion. This means the connection remains absolutely rigid and stable, contributing directly to the overall strength and solidity of the cockpit.

We extended the seat rails to 23 inches ( up from the standard 20) allowing the middle spreader profile to be positioned further forward toward the center of the cockpit. This refined geometry increases structural integrity by distributing loads more evenly across the frame, resulting in a stiffer, more balanced design.
