The Finish
Clear Anodized - Silver
Black Powder Coated
Long Sides
The side aluminum extruded profiles of the frame.
Guidance:
- 48 inches long is on the small side, 54 is on the larger side, our frames are usually around 52 inches long.
- 1.5x3 inch for base cockpits and belt drives. (note: 1.5x3 inch profile are NOT compatible with the pedal plate 360)
- All 1.5x3 inch (40x80mm) have some flex to them. Even if the manufacturer says it does not, it does)
- Wheel Upright can be miunted on the side of the Long Side Porfiles or on top. In our experience, mounted on top results in less flex overall. Side mounting of the wheel uprights tends to put pressure on the entire frame.
- 1.5 x 4.5 or 1.5x6 for direct drives 8-30NM
Cross Spreaders
The middle aluminum profiles that hold the frame togther
Notes:
- We suggest 20 inches as most of our frames use 20inch Cross Spreaders as it fits our wheel base mounting options perfectly.
- You can use a profile that is 1.5 inches shorter than the side long profiles which will result in a slightly lower seating position. For instance,. If you are using 1.5x4.5 inch profile for the long side, you can use 1.5x3 for the cross spreaders.
- Usually, we would suggest that the spreaderr profiles are the same height at the side profiles in order to get the best connection possible.
Wheel Uprights
Create a strong connection as verticals in order to mount your wheel base.
Notes:
- Using 1.5x3 inch on the Long Side Porfiles then mount the 1.5x3 on top of the long side base.
- Using 1.5x4.5 or 1.5x6 then mount the Wheel Uprights attaching them to the sides of the Long Side profiles.
- Usually, Wheel uprights should be 22 inches in height from the top of the Long Side Profiles.
- So if you are using 1.5x6 for the Long Side, then use 28 inches Wheel Uprights (22+6). As well, since wheel uprights usually mount on the top side if the Long Side Profiles, you can use 22 inches.
Seat Rails
The Seat Rails are used to make it easier to add a seat and seat side brackets.
Notes:
- Seat Rails are usually 1.5x1.5 inches anmd 20 inches long.
- If you wanted to use 1.5x3 inch Seat Rails (to make the seat higher) then we would suggest using a 1.5x3 (4 of them) to attach the taller seat rails.
- Seat Rail length should meet up with the middle Spreader Profile.
Corner Brackets
Attach what you want, where you want. But attach the frame together well!
Notes:
- Each bracket that we sell comes with the necessary T-Nuts and M8 bolts necessary to use them.
- Cover caps are not included with a bracket, those are sold separately.
- Our Corner Brackets are slotted and have tabs on them that help to keep them guided in the slot but can also be broken off in order to mount a brackets across a slot (as opposed ot inside of it)
- They are 38x36x36 mms (same as 40 Series)
- You can use silver corner brackets on a black powder coated frame. Or vice-versa. Simply a matter of color preference.
