We believe in secure no-flex rigs.  The more connections an assembly has, the less it moves when the driver applies force. The more mounting points your side shifter mount has, the more force you can use on your racing sim gear without feeling your cockpit flex. So go ahead and grab on the hand brake, change gears on the sequential or H shifter with intensity. Your simulation will move, your rig won’t.
